- Make sure you have a manual for the doors and have it on hand when carrying out any maintenance.
- Make a visual inspection. Check all the door’s hardware (springs, rollers, pulleys) for signs of wear and tear.
- Check the balance of the door by lifting it from the closed position. It should move smoothly and be able to remain open when three foot above the ground. If not, contact us for repairs.
- Regularly lubricate the moving parts of the door, apart from the plastic idler bearings.
Warning: Do not attempt to adjust the springs or brackets or cables as they are under high tension and could cause injury. Call us to arrange for one of our staff to come and make the adjustments.
